MEETINGS

On the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Commission, and the European Year of Inter-cultural Dialogue, the Banlieues d'Europe network presents different European meetings :

• 11-13 September 2008, Lyon (France)
  15th Meeting of the network on the theme of " ALTERITY, CREATIVITY, DIVERSITY " :
  Changing cities and new cultural practices in european neighbouroods
  In partnership with the Biennale de Danse Parade (14 September).
  Through binomial arrangements (working in pairs) and participative artistic projects in the public space carried out in the Rhône-Alpes region and in different European countries, Banlieues d'Europe will put into perspective different urban culture practices, theatre, and plastic arts, bringing together artists and neighbourhood communities.
• 20-22 November 2008, Marseille (France)
  The Inter-cultural Dialogue in Actions in the Euro-Mediterranean Space"
  In partnership with ADCEI (Association for European and International Cultural Development).
  The object of this meeting is to assemble projects from the two sides of the Mediterranean, by bringing together the field actors working on artistic creations with inhabitants.

Specific European Year of Inter-Cultural Dialogue Partnerships :

• 14-15 June, Brussels (Belgium)
  Participation in the organisation of "Super Neighbours", with Halles de Schaerbeek.
• Autumn, Brussels (Belgium): DIVERSIDAD!
  Organisation of themed seminars centred on urban cultures in the framework of the "Diversity!", a project carried out by the European Music Office.
