TRAINING

The theme of the Cultural University of Banlieues d'Europe #2 will be "Inter-Cultural Mediation" in the framework of Continuing Education - early 2008.

This training is aimed at professionals in the social and cultural sector, enabling the acquisition of cultural and inter-cultural mediation tools through different theoretical and practical contributions.

The sessions alternate between university researchers, field actors, officials of public policies, chosen at the European level. Public co-operative cultural and social policies, avenues of national and European financing, and concrete field projects are subjects for debate and interactive sessions. Field actors develop their presentations with the help of analysis charts, enabling the evaluation of results and difficulties.

Case studies related to stagiaire's projects enable the development of methodology for the setting up of projects, and interactivity is encouraged through virtual situations in artistic workshops and debates between participants and project bearers. Field projects can be visited in situ, through visits arranged by local partners.
